About Us

Where it all began

Jane started this journey rather naively back in 2013 when she and her mum, Didee, began cooking up a storm in their family kitchen in Umhlanga Rocks, making home-style meals for a busy cousin and her family.
Before long the garage was filled with freezers, Didee had learnt to use GPS with much skill, and most excitingly their customer base had grown astronomically, to around 45 folk, of whom mostly were friends and family.
It was at this point that the ladies took the big, brave decision to move into a small industrial space in Durban North, and this was beginning of real growth. Within 6 months they outgrew the small kitchen and moved to a larger 200sqm space where they began producing up to 500 meals at day.
In 2016 Jane's sister, Amy, returned from a stint in Australia, and joined as a business partner full time, taking on a leading role in all things administrative, logistical and sales.
The kitchen is still at the same address in Durban North but now spans 500sqm with 30 team members across all departments, who work towards producing about 1000 meals a day, by hand, with the same passion and love that goes into making one meal!
