Whether you have a few events ahead, or one big bang, we’ve put together a handy value pack of all our favourite entertaining dishes. Keep them frozen & simply follow each unique heating instruction for effortless entertaining. PRE-FESTIVE FUNCTION DEFROST & HEATING SCHEDULE
TWO DAYS BEFORE EVENT
-put frozen gammon in your fridge to defrost slowly
-purchase all necessary add-ons (crackers for camemberts, pineapple & pomegranate relish for gammon, rocket for lebanese salad, ice cream for orange malva, edible flowers and herbs to decorate)
-ensure the bubbly is chilling
-count and clean all necessary cutlery & crockery and get your decor pieces ready
ONE DAY BEFORE EVENT
-put Spanakopita Pie, Brie, Potato & Thyme Quiche, Lebanese Salad & Coronation Chicken in the fridge in the morning to defrost slowy for 24+ hours.
THREE HOURS BEFORE BIG EVENT
– get that oven on and begin heating!
– start with the Spanakopita Pie, the Brie Potato & Thyme Quiche, the Roasted Vegetable Pie and then the Sausage & Herb Plait. You should fit all of these in a regular kitchen oven.
Just remember unique cooking times. If you cant fit them all in, stagger your cooking time.
After all, the food is best served room temperature in Summer anyway!
– once the fridge is cleared of savoury items, get your desserts into the fridge. Remember to put the Chocolate Cheesecake onto your desired serving platter while frozen! You can even garnish it while frozen.
ONE HOUR BEFORE BIG EVENT
-toss your Lebanese Salad & Coronation Chicken & plate up with a few festive garnishes!
-your cooked dishes should be done. Allow them to stand before trying to move them & plate them. Once they are room temperature plate & garnish.
-place Frozen Baked Camembert in the oven and cook
-plate your Lemon-Berry Trifle in a jar with berries & mint and place back in fridge
-have your Baked Camembert Parcels plated and ready as your guests arrive. This will keep them busy and satisfied, freeing you up to chat & have a drink.
-as you take your dishes out to serve your guests the buffet, pop the oven onto 160’c.
-as soon as the mains are winding down, pop the Orange Malva into the oven for 10-15 minutes.
-Get Cheesecake and Trifle out of the fridge, plate up & serve when ready
